ATABEY
Curator's Note
Long before the Caribbean islands were mapped, Atabey was already here.
Keeper of fresh water, fertile earth, and the moon's gentle cycles—her presence was felt rather than seen, flowing through rivers, harvests, motherhood, and rain. When she arrived as Guabancex, she came as the storm itself: fierce enough to unmake the landscape, yet clearing the way for life to begin anew.
The Colibrí Collection carries echoes of that inheritance. It gathers the symbols that endured, the names that survived, and the quiet memory woven through Caribbean culture across centuries. Each piece is offered not as a reconstruction of history, but as its living continuation—where art becomes remembrance, and remembrance becomes something that can be carried into the present.

She holds the center.
Ancient symbols, reimagined for today. Each piece honors the enduring spirit of the Caribbean through contemporary design, inviting the stories of its first peoples into everyday life.
